Can I bring my pet?
Country Living at Westview Commons has a limited number of units that pets are allowed in. It is the discretion of the Executive Director to approve any incoming pet and a Pet Agreeement Contract is required. We appreciate that many people desire to continue to share their love with a pet and will do our best to accomodate your wishes.
Are visitors and overnight guests allowed?
Visitors and guests are welcome. Guests may stay overnight for a maximum of three consecutive nights and a maximum of six nights per month. If available, the model/guest unit can be rented for a maximum of seven consecutive nights.
Is there security?
Westview Commons is a well-secured campus with 24-hour response for emergencies as well as indoor and outdoor video surveillance. The nursing staff and security personnel will answer calls for help and roam the properties to assure safety at all times.
What type of fire protection is in place?
Each unit and all common areas are equipped with smoke and fire detectors that are hardwired and networked together. The entire facility is also equipped with a Fire Sprinkler System for your utmost safety and piece of mind.
What do I do in the event of a fire alarm?

Do any units have washer/dryer hookups?
There are a total of 9 units that contain hookups for small stackable washer/dryer appliances, but this feature does remove one coat closet from the apartment's living space. However, there are common laundry rooms on each floor for residents to use for personal clothing and belongings. Staff will maintain these areas daily. There are also community trash and recycling bins in the laundry rooms that residents can utilize.
Is housekeeping provided?
Housekeeping will be performed in your apartment once per week including: mopping floors, vacuuming, dusting, removing and replacing all bed linens and towels, bathroom and kitchen cleaning and sanitizing.
Am I responsible for repairs and maintenance?
One of the wonderful perks of being a Westview Commons resident is that regular maintenance and repairs are included. Should your unit require a repair such as a dripping faucet, running toilet, a handle or knob that is not working properly, or heat or air conditioning-related issue, simply contact the Executive Director who will file a work order so that maintenance can fix the issue.
What are your social and recreational offerings?
Westview Commons' dynamic community encourages social relationships with multiple daily opportunities listed on our monthly Activities Calendar. Amongst the many activities, there will be live, in-house musical entertainment and regularly scheduled trips to regional and local attractions. Or, join one of the many proposed groups led by our community members such as mahjong, bridge, reading or the scrapbooking club. There's always an opportunity for socializing when you live at Westview Commons.
Is there 24/7 staffing?
Yes. Staffing is available on a 24/7 basis.

How do people pay for independent living?
With no significant buy-in, people typically pay with their retirement income including: pensions, social security, investments, etc.
How do people pay for assisted living?
Similar to independent living, our assisted living option has no buy-in costs as your living arrangement is on a month-to-month rental basis. However, in-home care is oftentimes available for assisted living residents through Medicare or one's insurance benefits.
