Food Donation

In the spirit of seasonal generosity, Westview Commons residents donated food and funding to local initiatives leading up to Thanksgiving. Canned goods, fresh fruits and vegetables, frozen meats, and cash donations were given to the Friends of Assisi Food Pantry in Danielson, CT and Interfaith Human Services of Putnam’s Daily Bread organization.

This donation was led by Westview Commons resident Patricia Faucher, who began the drive by talking with fellow residents at the Dayville, CT independent and assisted living facility about doing community service. Patricia has been involved with food donation in our region for many years, and she was especially proud to make these deliveries with Westview Commons’ Resident Services Coordinator Mary Belcher. We send big thanks to all of our residents who contributed to this gift!
