January 2021 Employee of the Month

Brooklyn resident, Hannah Keating, has earned the inaugural distinction of Employee of the Month for the recently opened independent and assisted living facility, Country Living at Westview Commons in Dayville, Connecticut where she has been employed as a server since September 2020.

Hannah came to Westview Commons with an abundance of food industry knowledge and experience. Having obtained her Culinary Arts Certification from Salter School in Worcester, MA, she attests that much of her expertise was primarily derived from two decades of hands-on experience. Having worked for the previous sixteen years at 99 Restaurant & Pub, she effectively climbed the ladder and has filled the shoes of virtually every restaurant position including: host, server, bartender, cook, trainer, kitchen manager and assistant manager. Needless to say, whether it’s front of the house, or back of the house, Hannah has it covered.

This vast knowledge and experience lends itself perfectly towards her role as Server at Westview Commons where she not only assists in delivering meals to the residents, but also contributes to implementing eating regiments, designing floor plans and seating arrangements, training servers and developing systems for room service.

While not at work, Hannah and fiancé Michael Palladino can be found raising their two-year-old daughter, Enza, alongside Johnny Cash, their 16 year old dog. She is also an ardent gardener who loves growing, cooking, preserving and sharing her created food with family and friends.

The patience and gratitude that our residents have shown despite their COVID-related lifestyle restrictions has been remarkable and I cannot thank them enough for their continued kindness.”
